The contributions for this event (including non-veg dinner) will be $12 per adult with your e-mail RSVP before April 20th, and $15 per adult without RSVP. Please respond to rsvp@badfw.org with headcount at the earliest to help us plan this event efficiently.
Sipra Bose, a songstress of rare quality, is one of the most acclaimed names in Indian Classical and Light-Classical Music. Over the years, she has emerged as an artist with a plethora of Bengali Modern and Light Classical hits. She also specializes in singing Ghazal-s, Thumrie-s, Dadra-s and Tappa-s. Groomed under the tutelage of the inimitable Late Begam Akhtar and Late Sangeetacharya Chinmoy Lahiri, she has always upheld the heritage of the Lucknow Gharwana, and continued to develop herself with guidance from Late Naina Devi of Banaras Gharwana and Pandit Ravi Shankar.
Her husband, noted Tabla player Gobinda Bose is accompanying her. A disciple of Late Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh and his elder brother Late Pandit Shaymal Bose, the "wizard of fingers" has toured the world as Tabla accompanist with a number of Indian Classsical Music stalwarts.
